I've been making Albumframes for over 7 years now with a steady demand, but it's suddenly all taken off!!
The beauty of the idea is that people already have the artwork that they love...its just under the bed gathering dust or out in the shed!! Even though the records may be scratched, people find it hard to get rid of their LP collections, and here's a new lease of life for them.
The frames are glossy black, with an easily released backing plate that allows you to change the covers as often as you want. Even tatty old album covers look sharp behind glass.
The frames are made locally and I try to keep them as cheap as possible. I just love the idea of keeping the classic album cover artwork alive, and hope that the message spreads. In Dunedin (New Zealand), a group of friends who are into their music and have also bought Albumframes call themselves "Frameheads", and yap on at parties about what they've got on display!! A flight of three frames up the stairs is considered to be particularly cool!! ( Bob Dylan, Little Feat, Eric Clapton?). I hope you love them as much as I do. Cheers,
